Toy Story 3

Postby Discombobulator » Jul 21st, '10, 19:57

Wow, what can I say.

Brill, and with the added bonus of 3D.

Lots of laughs and a few 'ahhh' moments.

I thought the cinema would be full of little kids, but then I remembered that all the little kids who watched toy story 2 are about 10 years older now.

I was also suprised to the amount of teens/20's couples and groups there were in the cinema when I went to watch it (monday).
It was a fantastic film, and very very funny! Was in fits through a lot of it. Cannot wait to get it on dvd and watch it all again!

I am not too sure on the 3d. I feel it adds depth to the film,a nd makes it feel more realistic. But other than that, I have yet to see a film that utilises 3D to its max, or near.

Trust me, that will happen.

Saw it this evening and was very good.

Did not bother with the 3D thing as those sorts of thing tend to make me feel a bit sick. Also 3D does not add anything to a film for me. It's certainly no substitute for decent acting and story.

My mate went to see this but accidentally went into the 'adult' cinema next door. The main character was still Woody - but not as expected.....

I Thangyew......!

Looking forward to seeing this too - maybe another IMax experience methinks although I, too, am not sold on this whole 3D malarkey. It's a gimmick - no matter what the studios try to tell us!

Hang on, hang on.... There was a Toy Story 2?

Now, shall I go off on my usual "3D is just a fad no one will care about in a year" rant i've been spouting for the last 2 years or the "I am the only one that can't see 3D?" rant?

Hold on - if no-one will care about it in a year.... how comes you've needed to spout it for TWO years??

Must say that I agree though.... complete gimmick!

LOVED this movie... Laughed harder than most other things I've recently seen and the "incinerator scene" made tears roll down my face. You'll laugh, you'll cry.

I'm sure the "toys" were very different as well. Buzz had three speed settings.

ToyStory3 - great film! Although the 3D didn't add much to be honest. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll wait until the end of the credits to find that they didn't bother to add a last second joke scene this time...

Highlight must be the "Spanish"!
