Mandrake you get the I.P of everyone who posts here. Can't you find some way to either spam the spammers or give them a virus or something. You could put a warning in the 'about talk magic' thread. 'If anyone posts spam or tries to get members for their shitty website, we at talk magic will do everything in our power to really f*** with you.' Tomo seems like the type to have 1337 haxor skillz, and I know a few good beastiality sites you could send us their email addresses.

True and I also get see a few other things as well . However just the IP isn't very useful as many members have dozens of IPs and in some cases the same IP is shared by more than one member. We can trace and trace and we can also report the IP for blacklisting which is what we do. Sadly the miscreants are tech savvy and find ways around such obstacles.

There are certainly times when I'd love to hurl the cyber equivalent of a plague of locusts on these eejits but that would be descending to their level and TM has higher standards than that. In the recent case, as the thief gave valid e-mail addresses and also a list of the pirated DVDs, we're arranging to send the details on to the authors and letting them take the matter further. Hopefully this will show that theft isn’t taken lightly here.

The spammer might have moved on since the codewords came into force.
I dunno about any others, but the AVR Freaks forum is getting it now. I'll drop their admin a line about filtering.
