Card in balloon

Postby Johnny Wizz » Jul 20th, '10, 16:28

I am looking for a card in to balloon trick.

I think that there is or was a product which is a stand you attach the balloon to and which bursts the balloon. Don't want to put too much in print!

I have searched most of the websites I normally buy from but can't find this anywhere.

Anybody have any thoughts or ideas, and please, don't tell me how easy it would be to make one, I can barely make a sandwich let alone anything technical

Spot on, exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you, that took all of 2 minutes to get a positive response!

Can't vouch for it being any good, but relatively cheap.

technicaly there is nowt to them. what you have to watch out for, is the pointy bit that bursts the balloon.
some are no more than a panell pin shoved in a hole, and they can drop out first go. also the bit that grabs teh card can be loose, and as a result, wont grab it.
I have a supreme Sadie seal and the point of that is damn fine.

If you look around some of the dealers that sell second hand, they will always have this item in, because they were very popular.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Doesn't Jay Sankey have one where you put the entire deck in the balloon and proceed to pull out there card?

He certainly does - 'Airtight' I think it's called. I seem to remember that there was also an update to it on one of his DVDs called 'Airtighter' that didn't require a D*** Sw****. Nice little routine.....

Card In Baloon

Postby Allen Tipton » Jul 28th, '10, 14:22

Why not save the £20 or spend it on Tarbell Volume 6.
There on pages 83 to 86 you will find Hen Fetsch's Card In Balloon.
Think it was once sold by Harry Stanley's Unique Studio.*

ALL you need is: a Menetekel deck of cards you could even make this up),
a balloon and a dart. The card is freely chosen!
At one time the dart had a length of ribbon attached to it*. And I think HS called it Through The Sound Barrier.

Thanks Allen, I have now made a purchase but appreciate the tip. I may well have to invest in some Tarbell, it is a gap in my magic library.
