I saw a clip of Paul Harris' True Astonishments and in the tap dancing aces effect the performer sort of 'pings' the top card of the deck and then says lets get an instant replay of that, he then pings the card back onto the deck and straight away 'pings' it back. Sorry for the poor explanation I just cant really see or figure out what he does just the flourish looks extremely impressive. I just cannot find the name of it anywhere?!

You're a bit vague but i think you're referring to Jeff's Jump. An amazing little thing by Jeff McBride.

It looks for all the world as if the card is attatched to IT or something, but it's really just a knack.

Very visual......can't perform it for the life of me.....and oh how i have tried.

Yeah I remember that clip and I think Paul Harris also did it years ago for one of his older VHS tapes.

Grimshaw, that is not the effect I was looking for but WOW! Is there a dvd or anything for this effect. That is impressive.

It's taught on True Astonishments and in one of McBride's Apocalypse books.

Thinking about it now, i think what you're referring to is known as Instant Replay. It morphed into the Simple Switch. VERY knacky.

Oh, I can't really afford True Astonishments right now, but I'll check out the book, thanks a million. This flourish looks extremely nice.
