Synching netbook with home PC

Postby pcwells » Aug 5th, '10, 09:29

Hi all!

Any computer boffins out there?

I've got hold of a netbook to use during my time in Edinburgh.

Both run Windows 7 (starter version on the Netbook).

I plan to use Windows Live Mail to manage emails during my time away, but then want to sync it all up to Outlook on my home office PC when I get back.

I also hope to do similar things with the calendar, using Works Calendar and syncing it to Outlook on my return.

Does anyone know of any quick, easy, cheap and wireless methods of doing this?

Thanks in advance,

Pete

The solution.

You can't directly import Works data into Outlook 2007, but you may be able to export the data in CSV format. This should be importable by Outlook. Consider using Google Calendar instead of Works. Then you can work online/offline and it will sync with Outlook.

Hope that helps,
T.
