I was NEVER trying to tell John Archer what to do! If I had to sit and watch one Mentalist in the world, it would be him... Ok... Second after Derren. :p

I was not suggesting or disagreeing with anything; I was ASKING how it could be used as a closer.

I can't wait for the DVD, this may replace my Rubiks Remembered routine.., it sounds that sexy.

Hi again,

Ok for those of you who want to see a performance of Streetwise you can take a look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKCfG2yaCGc

It's not a perfect performance (It needs about 6 months in front of an audience yet), however it shows you the basic idea and I am sure that people will be able to devise even sneakier plots than this rather basic one.

There is a link direct to it from my website also, but it shouldn't show up if you search for it directly in YouTube.

Cheers,

John.

It looks really good John, I can see why you think its a good closer.
Can it be done with more than 2 Roads? or would that be guilding the lilly.

From John's site:
A book test that is so much more. It could be remote viewing, a bizarre ability to outdo a London cabbies knowledge or plain simple mind-reading. Several strong effects in one innocent looking London Map book (The ABC of LONDON)

* A street, road or lane is thought of from the index and you can name it.

* Several areas of London are thought of by 3 or 4 members of the audience and you can name them all.

* Any road/street etc, on any of the map pages is again merely thought of by a spectator and you know exactly where they are.

And best of all - It makes sense to use the book.

With the right routining you could have several roads thought of from anywhere in the map pages and several from the index. Luke Jermay has a great routine based on memory where it is used in conjunction with several genuine map books from which you can also give information. That routine is included with the instructions now. It is quite a versatile little thing.

I'm very tempted by this, like Dale I've got a rough idea how it's working too and yup very clever if I've got it right. I'll have to put it on the list for after payday.

If you are right, you will realise how much work has gone into making this book look like right and capable of being handled without any worry.

Roll on pay day ;-)

Hi again.

A brief update to let those (if any) who are interested that due to legal reasons (people were going to sue me) STREETWISE is now named 'STREETS'
The book and the effect have not changed merely the name.
The youtube video was removed and re-edited so now available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlJmQV4Wej4

Ho hum... I did have plans for today...

Many thanks,

John
