I've already found one torrent site that has created a screening process on files brought to them for posting which protects copyright and likewise turns posted files into sales items tied to legit links and common retail prices. I forget the whole story but it had to do with a court case out of the Netherlands.

In other words, the noose is tightening...

Good news indeed, can't tighten fast enough. Another interesting idea I heard about on another (non magic) forum:

Users were complaining about torrents etc they had been downloading from various sources that were in fact false... they didn't contain the software they'd been expecting, but rather a Trojan Horse. Brilliant!!

How long before a magic creator/publisher floods the filesharing 'market' with bogus, Trojan Horse archives?

I'm confused, that link seems to be in favour of the pirate bay.

even stranger, twice i've clicked that link, and twice firefox crashed...

Even stranger, is someone actually thinks a) torrent sites will ever go away and b) that is where the serious piracy happens.
