Break-room boredom buster

Postby philipsw » Sep 1st, '10, 20:39

Hi there. This is a Paul Curry effect in Art of Astonishment 3. I love the cleverness of the effect and simplicity of method. My question is, does anyone do this in the real world, and how do people react? Does it just seem like a little puzzle?

And in a related question, is tearing up one's own business cards a poor way to hand them out?!

THoughts appreciated...

I do not know the effect but as for handing out a business card torn up, why not hand it out then take it back saying "That's not much use." then put it back together...

Depends on the magic you do obviously.

It is signed before it is torn into two.

And it is _really_ torn in two :-)

Tearing up your own business card is probably not the best way to go. What are you saying about yourself?

In effect 5 people sign their name on the backs of business cards. These cards are torn in half and mixed up by a spectator whilst 'spelling' the phrase 'will the cards match' - and of course they do.

I'm particularly keen to hear of folk who have used this in the real world. Reactions?
