Marks 'Complete Course' is often cited on the board as having a good routine for this and a good one for that etc so I wondered....

What's your favourite and most performed trick out of the book?
What variations/adaptations have you made?

I do some of his handkerchief tricks, as I have a modified version of Quentin Reynold's Five Minutes with A Pocket Hanky routine.

I have also used some of his simple illusions and they have worked well.

I quite often do the sponge ball routine from the book, I've made a few changes, taken a couple of phases out and added some in but it's still very close to the routine in the book.

I like 'Birds of a Feather" granted I've changed it drastically to the point it is no longer recognizable as the same effect, but it is where I first learned it. I also like the torn and restored card.

What I like most about the book is that it is a great book for inspiration, ideas and refrence.

I was looking at the 'Torn and restored bill' yesterday. Has anyone done this version? Does RC really work this way?

I use his cups and balls routine straight out of the book.

It's good for selling them at work, really short and has a bit of everything in it. It's also simple enough to do with the little furry things and tiny cups you get in kids' cups and balls sets...

The Envelope Stand is great and simple. In fact the whole Mental Magic section in general is pretty good if you bring the routines up to date.

That's odd, although I have the revised paperback edition I thought it was in all the editions. At least for people with the revised edition, it's located in the self-working card tricks section.

Oops - beg pardon. Yes, it is in my copy. What I don't have is the "Reputation Makers" section.

My most used is definitely 3-way test.

I used to do the sponge routine which is great and the cups and balls routine as well as Oil and water.
