Hello Everyone...

I have just taken up amateur Magic and I am thinking of getting enough props together to do a few childrens parties...

See how it goes...

My name is Leighton. And I am enjoying my magic so far...

Regards

Leighton

Hi Leighton,
Welcome to T/M.
A little bit of advice,It will take a little bit more than buying a few props,to enable you to go out and entertain kids at parties.
good luck, and ive no doubt you will be getting plenty of replies, especially from the very many childrens entertainers there are on here.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Thanks Dean for the Comments , I can appreciate there is a lot of hard work to be put in and it is not 'just' about props !
I have seen several lately and my mate is just starting out too....

I won't be rushing into anything and will be very grateful for any help or comments that may be offered...

I look forward to all replies and tips....

Thanks

Leighton

Once you think you've practiced enough...I would say do the kids parties, but begin with friends and family, don't charge them (obviously) and explain honestly that you are starting out - and just build up your experience.

Also I would say kids magic is a specific skill set, so don't do it if you just want magic experience, only if you specifically want to get into kids magic, otherwise if you were interested in card magic for example - show tricks to your mates in the pub.

Welcome to TM.

Thanks for the advice....
I have done a bit of table hopping at my mates daughters birthday...Went down well....However I have seen the real pros at work and I think I have a very long way to go before I can do anything near a full show...

I will keep practicing though...
