Lol! The holy grail of mind-reading solved!

Gotta admit I like that one

I have just remembered another one, which was my favourite combination of pure BS and luck. I was supposedly memorising a deck of cards and then, to trip me up they shuffled the deck and told me to turn away and they wanted to hold they deck. Damn. They gave me a number... I said I was using some mnemonic system and so I started coming up with some rubbish about batman.. and then judging from their reaction to that I went for the 7 of spades as a lucky guess. And hoorah for me, 7 of spades it was. They were even more amazed because they shuffled the deck (without me knowing) and the last thing they would expect is that it was a guess! Just my supernatural powers, presumably.

The other one of my favourites, was when two spectators where interested in the nonsense I made up about how mind reading works and they decided to try it on each other. I said 'think of numbers, they're easier' (because its more likley for them to read it as a hit when its not with numbers). Anyway, to my surprise, they got three digits in a row spot on!

Both of these situations were nightmarish, in that the spectators took control. I played along- knowing there was room for a little failure especially if you pretend your confident that its going to work- and luck was on my side.

Of course though, these are exceptions. I think if someone made a thread about mess ups, they'd be much more to say!
