In Akasaka, there is a "Ninja" restaurant or something (can't remember exactly) that has pro Japanese magicians performing tables, I believe. I wanted to go with my mom, but reservations are required, so we missed the opportunity. Lots of big stores in Japan sell magic stuff. In Tokyo (I don't remember exactly where, it may have been Asakusa) there is a huge store called Tokyu Hands and on the party supplies floor, there are a variety of playing cards (over priced) and a shelf of books/dvds/single tricks in Japanese. Some of the single tricks are actually pretty neat though.
On a side not, have fun! I love visiting Japan and I'm sure you will too. If you go to Akasaka, check out the Ramen places and the "Yakiniku" restaurants. You will get fat.
