Subliminal Trick

Postby MagicBill » May 9th, '05, 09:58

After some serious research, I have created this excellent subliminal trick – try it out…

You are in a dark room. There is a box in the corner. It may be made from card
board. There is an object above the box, it may be a mirror. If you stand on the
box you may be able to see your face. (THINK OF THE 9 OF SPADES). The room
is cold, but you don’t mind. In your head, there is the thought of warmth. Then David
Blaine enters the room and tells you to think of a card…

What card did you think of?
(if it’s worked, you should be thinking of the nine of spades)

Debbie is on the farm with eight other contestants each carrying a spade. They need to dig a large hole with their spades, that's 9 spades to dig a hole. Now think of ANY card.

Debbie Magee is standing in the corner wearing fishnet tights like she had on in the farm programme and she is holding a sign that says:
"Send MagicBill £1000".

I can't wait for the postman to come tomorrow!!!

Tee hee.

Think of a number between 1 and 100...

No, not that one!

Okay, properly this time: Think of a number between 1 and 10 that isn't 3.

Seven, by any chance?

Debbie sends her regards to you all on TM and says that some of you need to see a therapist!

She's just gone down stairs to fetch another beer before she goes home.

I've said this a couple times to female specs:

Pick a number between 1 and 10.

What is it?

"3"

Wrong. Take your clothes off.

It's not worked yet...

Years ago, when I was at uni, we conducted an experiment in probability and how it could be manipulated.
In the first part of the experiment, we asked passers-by to think of a number between one and ten. As you'd expect, the results were pretty much even.
Next, using different 'volunteers', we said,
"Think of a number between one and ten" followed by the briefest of pauses (enough time to take a breath) then "Two".
It turned out there was just over a 50% chance they would agree that 2 was the number they'd thought of.
