Bicycle deck business cards

Postby magicj » Oct 22nd, '10, 14:28

hiya,

I had a search but didnt come up with any results so I'm hoping someone could help.

I want to get business cards printed onto bicycle stock (Red or blue, it doesnt matter)

Is there a company that can do this for me, or do i do it myself with a blank deck?

Whats the best way to achieve this?

I know it would be fairly expensive so i think two or three decks worth would be enough as I'm using them for an effect so wont go through too many in a night!

Kind regards

JH

well, the first step is to get around any legal ramifications. I do believe the back design on a bicycle card is indeed under copyright.

whats the difference between me printing somthing on the face, and someone writing their name on the face?

I dont want bike backed business cards, i want my name, website, tele, email etc printed on the front of a bicycle card.

I can't see there would be any trouble with that?
please correct me if I'm wrong

I've seen cards from one or two dealers at Conventions where they just stick a label with all the contact details on the face of a Bike - not all that professional but it does the job.

If you have a laserjet printer then you can use the toner transfer method. Waaaaay cheaper and just as good as what you'll have custom made by a shop/dealer. And no minimum order.

For that matter, you could buy a used laserjet printer and all of your supplies and have a couple of bucks left over for the same price as one custom print job by card-shark.de Not only will you be able to print your business cards whenever you want in whatever quantity you want, you'd be able to make your own gaffs as well.

Is this what you're after?

Admittedly, the minimum print run is higher than you'd indicated, but they are proper bikes - would insert VERY nicely into your current decks and there's plenty of routines you could throw them out from.

I think a stamp is a really good idea, thank you. Do you think the ink will stick and dry OK on the card?

Yes - i've looked at this, ideally wanted them on 808 rider backs...5000 is a bit high. works at about £150 pre-shipping i think. thanks

If anyone else reading this is curious, they also do single card runs on Rider backs, check the FAQs...
