Ok here is my basic pass since I said I would upload it. In my oppinion its not that obvious that i did something and I try to make it look like im just squaring the cards up.
I am not that bothered if you all think its rubbish since I have only been doing it a little while and intend to practice a lot more!
hmm its saying max filesize reached but i know my file is only 1.25 megs
ok firstly try not to bend the fingers of your right hand, keep your left thumb on the side of the lower packet and when you pull down with your left hand the packet will spring up.. your right hand should never move.. also the packets changing is covered by the right fingers at the front (another reason why the fingers shouldnt move )
i'll put a quick video i made up of a classic pass, a hermann pass, an invisible pass and a riffle pass.. the classic pass is the hardest one of them all to get right but they all do the same thing which is what i was saying in the other thread
Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..
I can't name any with them in but I can name a bunch that I think don't tell you because I have them but so far can't seem to find the above mentioned passes. I mainly have vernons books and my latest darwin book, at the card table.
Classic, Hermann and riffle are all described on Ninja 1 (though the hermann pass wasn't named when I got it). As I said in the other thread though, some of the things in the demo of ninja are not quite as they seem.
yes.. the classic pass is the basic pass as you call it. the invisible pass is sometimes also known as a turnover pass and can be found in a lot of books.. if i remember correctly its in the royal road or expert card technique the riffle pass is well documented.

Steven Youell teaches a great "hybrid" pass of his own design on his own CD called Hacking the Pass. It's a great investment, especially for $15 and goes over the move in extreme detail, highly recommended.
I have Royal road and I must say I'm struggling to get an understanding of this move. Can anyone recomend a good dvd that will show this as well as other card sleights? does anyone know if the pass is taught within Oz pearlman's born to perform? this is a dvd that has already been recomended to me.
Yeh, Ive heard that Born to Perform is not great for the Pass. However, again as mentioned, the Ninja series is great! It is where I learnt my passes from. Ive posted a couple of my videos today, so you can judge them for yourself. Get a better idea of how good the teaching is on the ninja series! good luck with it! Mark
