Magnetic Coins

Postby morrowsean » Nov 9th, '10, 20:37

Hi, Im just about to order myself a good flipper coin, I hear the £2 versions are one of the best out there. Mark Mason at jbtv.co.uk are selling two types, a gravity or a magnetic version? I was thinking about getting a magnetic one but would I need a pk ring to open it? Which one is best?

if you have to have one then go for a gravity one, you wont be showing it both sides so no need to get a locking one or better still a split coin. :)

gravity every time. because its a repeatable thing. Craig Petty has some fantastic dvds on the flipper coin, ( Flipped out) and i strongly urge you to get these first, to give you an idea as to exactly what you can do with this item.
also think about his Mirage coin set, which consists of a flipper, and several other usefull gaffs.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I just got the engineering prototypes of Subversive Circuits' new curiously strong magnetic £1 coins if that helps to muddy the choices.

Well, I don't really use the coins much lately, but when I do then the gravity ones are better I think. The magnetic ones are much tougher to do the tricks with.

For me personally I find it easier to mess up with the magnetic ones than with the gravity ones.
