Hi I was doing nfw and I thought id create a slightly different story :)

I know my performance skills arent the best but I think its about good enough for now to make for a nice effect with nothing revealed.

Btw this is not for the easily offended!

ok to start with i deleted the link to your video because some people WILL find it offensive, please dont use language and offensive remarks in your videos.
seriously work on your elmsley count.. its one of the more basic requirements for card magic and if its obvious whats going on then why bother?
i assume youve seen a demo vid of NFW performed somewhere so why not watch the performance on that then watch your video and see where the differences are in technique and try and get it just like the guy on the video

All together now.....
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! :P

Pritch, just out of interest, have you got a microphone? I started watching your clip and as soon as I saw those "subtitles" appear, I stopped watching. Sorry, but I don't really understand the point in showing us a new presentation using subtitles. There's so much more to a presentation than the words you say.

All the best,

Sorry I was just trying to show an idea for my risque routine and well others found it funny so I thought I would show it on here. Guess this isn't the place for anything risque or slightly offensive. Also yes I have a microphone but I made that at 3 am lol

I'm glad you did that. I started looking at the clip but didn't get to the end. Whilst some may have found the comments amusing, I didn't think that everyone would appreciate the contribution. We are all here because we are interested in magic.

I'm sorry but I know the clip was not suitable for children so maybe I shouldn't have posted it on this type of forum. I fail to believe how any adults or even older teenagers could be offended by it though. It was simply my attempt at comedy, if you didn't find it funny I couldn't really care cause people have found it funny and it's already been listed on college humour sites. I said its not for the easily offended and if you are offended by people talking about homosexual, sexual activities then you are easily offended and need to move with the times. It's risque comedy that some people might be a little shocked by but it's not anything to make a big deal over. I do however realize that a lot of much older people will be offended by it though and I'm sure if they turned channel 4 or 5 on at night they would probably be writing into terry wogan to tell them how disgraceful Graham norton is!

I know I'm going slightly off on a tangent and I agree the video has no place here if children are looking at it but I'm just making my point to anyone who is offended by me joking about homosexuality.

Just my oppinion :) I know I have no rights here

Pritch,

I didn't see the vid before it was removed so I cannot comment or criticise its comments.

However, this magic forum is open to all, regardless of age, and if something is not suitable for posting for children to see I can understand why the mods removed the link.

I think you should also consider political correctness concerning your performances and also your posts. It is not the done thing in todays society to comment upon minorities and if you want to perform in front of people it is something you should avoid. For many years I performed Ridings Irish Pocket Calculator but nowadays I avoid the connection to the Irish. You have to consider what someone (who may not be in the minority you are refering to) may consider offensive.

Its a tangled web, we play in to deceive, but we should also conform to standards others apply and keep ourselves squeaky clean (unless we have desires on being the next Chubby Brown :? ) . That's the society we live in, and perform in :?

I'm afraid I disagree on the commenting about minorities tenko. Sure if you are being racist or just insulting them thats one thing but when you are just talking about stuff they do which is seen as funny be some who don't do it, then its a different matter. I dont have time to go into it now but I might put state my case in a little more deptth later. I mean the bottom line really is if kids use this forum then it wasnt suitable for them but as for it being offensive to homosexuals... Do straight people get offended when I joke about people having straight sex? anyway later on :P
