Hindu Cones

Postby KtownWizzard » Nov 23rd, '10, 21:11

Hi everyone I,m new to the site and been doing magic just for a couple of years. I recently purchased a old magic trick from ebay and it didnt have any instruction with it. And I,m wondering if anyone can help me ? The trick is called the hindu cones , and you have four metal half circles and a wooden pyramid . You turn your back and you have someone place the pyramid under one of the metal half circles ,then you turn around and pick the correct one . But i cant figure it out,lol can anyone please help me ?

Contact the guy who sold it to you.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

Unfortunatly on ebay its not uncommon to buy magic from non magicians, and they wont have a clue themselves..is it possible for you to post a photo of this effect on here? It might jog some memories..

Well you see now the problem for us is how do we know you've actually brought the effect?

just a thought, but i think that this works the same as the old caps and dime effect . take a good long look ata the base of the cone, and see if something is there, or was once there.

no matter... It is the trick Im thinking about, and the cone should have a long hair on the bottom.

you should be able to work out the rest. :)

i dont see were a hair or thread would attach there is a total of five pieces 4 half circles made of metal and a wooden pyramid and on the box it says you can also use coins. all i can find online is u turn ur back and the spectator hides the coin or wooden piece then u turn back around and u should immediatey know which one its under.

I was unable to upload pictures with a post recently too.

Go to www.tinypic.com and upload the picture there. When you'll have to type in a couple of words (a "capcha") and on the next page copy the contents of the box that starts with [img] and paste it into your next post.

Just like that the image will appear in this thread.

I put on the old glasses and looked at the bottom of the pyramid it has a paper sticker bottom . And it has a small tear along a side it looks like there could have been a small tread there . I appreciate everyone helping , but i have one last question how would it work with a coin?
