Overall sounds like good fun!

Shame it's not a straightforward magic show featuring professionals doing what they earn their living at  . However, P&T were featured in the Ch4 Faking It episode where Kevin McMahon got his chance to move from being a Researcher to a Magician so they do have some back history of this sort of thing.

Put simply, because he is a big headed loudmouth t***.

Nothing is good enough to just put on TV these days. Not music, not dancing and certainly not magic. It must have a loud, off the wall "presenter" to explain and make it funny for the audience. Complete nonsense of course, but that's how it is.

Basically it boils down to giving far too much airtime to presenters from the school of 'If you ain't got talent, just shout'!

I quite like Jonathan Ross, though I don't think he's worth the £18m he got.

I do remember Penn tweeting about being at his house after they appeared on his chat show, so maybe some favours got called in.

(edit) Found the tweet Penn sent after the show -
"I don't mind people thinking I'm an asshole, I just don't want to be an asshole" -- Jonathan Ross. That is the definition of a good person

Jram - contrary to my above post I actually enjoy watching Ross sometimes. :P
When he was on Celebrity Apprentice he was either acting a part or is genuinely an *rse. A real bulldozer of a person, nobody and nothing else can have attention when he's around - unless it was an act.

Certainly not worth £18mil, but he's done some cracking interviews... even though out of the few times I saw him at work I often just wished he'd shut the hell up and let the person he was interviewing do a bit of talking.

Good luck to those who have to fool Teller :)

And I for one enjoyed some of what Jonathan Ross did on BBC, I don't care what he got paid - he just entertained me every friday night. I pay my (good value) TV licence in full recognition that people smarter than me will work out budgets and salaries, and that not everything that appears on their dozens of TV and radio stations will interest me (or indeed be aimed at me)

For 40p a day it's worth the bbc news website alone - cheaper than buying a newspaper every day

I'll pass. Sounds like a horrible format. Why not just televise Penn and Teller doing their stuff? I'd watch that.

I read this on the sun website
it sounds interesting but couldn't help thinking that if you're someone like penn and teller surely you would know all the tricks in the book so to speak?

I know most of the people that will be on this show. They are great magicians and I think it will be alot of fun.

Forget trying to fool Pen and Teller (that will be a bonus) I just think that laymen will love it and it will be an very entertaining show.

Lee. :D
