Yes, it's a DL
The best one is natural, comfortable and looks exactly the same as a SL.

There are plenty of books an d DVD's in which you can find a DL to suit you. I reccomend Basic Card Technique DVD by Richard Kaufmen. I found this invaluable when I was starting to study magic. He shows several different ways to schieve a DL. Plus there are many other moves to be learned on the DVD.

The DL is a basic premise in card magic and is easy to achieve naturally. It has many uses and is a staple of card magic!

Grow your nails long and you will find a DL very easy to do.

There are a few ways to do it, which one is best is quite a personal thing. Royal Road to Card Magic explains it quite well.

Pardon? lol.
you dont need nails to do a lift. the fleshy pad on the thumb is a much better friend, Not as good a friend as Misdirection of course, or Vernon.

I see your point, but I don't think I've ever met a layperson who didn't know of "picking up two cards" in relation to magicians. They just don't see it in your performance, as they don't really know what we use it for.

Thats my opinion anyway.
