Which Card Monte?

Postby Insight » May 15th, '05, 21:43

I know the general idea of the 3 card monte tricks and interested in getting one. However there are loads: Colour monte, 3 card monte, ultimate 3 card monte, ultimonte etc etc...

Some involve gimmicked cards some methods dont. Can anyone one help with which ones they recommend? Thanks :)

For a basic 3 card monte, nothing beats Color Monte...at least IMHO. However, I'm sure other people will have other opinions :D.

I can't speak from personal experience but Daryl's DVD seems to be very comprehensive on the topic. http://www.foolerdoolers.com/store/prod ... tid=800208 and see the list of contents.

Which is probably the reason that the Color Monte is the best selling packet trick - ever (so the story goes).

One of the nicest things about it is (imho) that it is gaff free, so you have the utmost satisfaction knowing that you are doing all the work.

The other very popular one, if you want a more standard "find the lady style" of monte effect is Michael Skinner's ultimate monte.

Overall though I would go with Mandrake's suggestion and go with the Daryl DVD. Apart from learning all the standard monte moves, you are taught the colour monte and loads of gimmicked monte variations.

I feel this IS the deinitive learning guide to have on if you want to learn a monte routine.

Why IYHO? It is gaff free :).

Anyway, I had a friend once who saw Color Monte and insisted on seeing the cards. He took the three then insisted on seeing the other red .
