Anyone catch 'New Tricks' last night on the Beeb?
Not something I normally watch but I caught the announcer mentioning that the case revolved around a 'Magic trick that ended in murder' so I gave it a go....
thoroughly enjoyable - the case did, indeed, revolve around a stage hypnotist who may or may not have implanted the suggestion to murder someone into one of his subjects. Lots of magic-related titbits to be had (the Chung Ling Soo 'deception' played an integral part in the plot, whilst avoiding explicit exposure). There was even a side trip to Magic Circle HQ (or a studio mocked up to look like it!).
I shall have to investigate some of the previous episodes - nice to see Dennis Waterman back on the screen - even if he does "Write the theme toon, sing the theme toon....."

Am sure it's still available on the BBC iPlayer!
