available: the dvd is available here i think

price: £25 or there abouts

difficulty: 3 out of 5 (some of the routines are self working or easy, others

involve several sleights)

score: 8 out of 10

this is the first video that i have brought in quite some time and i was very impressed to say the least. i was not out neccessarily to get this video as i hadn't heard of david regal before but it came as part of a swap and im glad i did.

the video starts off with a performance by the man himself showing about 5 tricks in front of what looks like a studio audience, mostly card tricks, a personal favourite of mine being everywhere. this is basically an effect where the spectator selects a card and it is placed back in the deck, he then proceeds to remove this same card from the deck from various locations, with a killer ending. he then runs through in detail how each of these tricks was carried out. although more time could have been given on how the sleights are pulled off.

this is followed by several other tricks which are performed and then explained individually.

the video has a good mix of moth card tricks, of which a fair amount are impromtu, and other tricks, ie rings, coins, even one with beads on a string.

in all a well put together video, i will definately be ordering the other 2 in the series

the tricks contained are as follows:

the deja vu deck
everywhere
cheating
clearly impossible
pasteboard massacre
there and back
self-evident
perchance to dream
there and back
the half deal
sending it through
all strung out
deep guilt aces

definately one worth getting hold of, i hope this is of some use to you. if you have any questions about the video please post here

I'd urge you to get the other two volumes too. I'm a big fan of David's magic and all three videos are excellent. They are all now available on DVD too.

NB/. That is an L&L audience, but it doesn't really matter - his work is so fantastic, it just blows them away anyway.
