TT Query

Postby Rushie » May 18th, '05, 10:09

Apologies if this sounds stupid but here goes... I recently brought a TT online plus "how to" book. When it arrived I put it on my left hand and it nearly cut the circulation off. It fits my right hand but as I'm left handed I don't think I will be able to use it. Here's the stupid part, do you have to specify left or right handed TT's when ordereing?? Apologies for the question(I am new to magic) I read in an earlier post that it is best to buy from a magic shop so at least you can try before you buy

There are threads on TT's here so I suggest you also do some searching, however to answer your questions...

I would guess that most people's left thumb is pretty much the same size as their right thumb. So if yours are that different I suspect you are just unlucky.

There is no point in specifying right or left thumb to the shop keeper, as they will just look at you funny, but for sure you can ask for a TT by size. In fact Size is more important than colour. Not just so it slips on and off easily, but also depending on how much you wish to load. Normally you could get away with asking for Large, Medium or small, but if you have a shop you can visit, then trying on a few to see which is comfortable is not a bad idea. (see my signature for a list of all shops in the uk that can be visited)
