Magic Circle Lecture 2011!

Making Magic Meaningful

26 April at the Centre for the Magical Arts

The lecture combines performance, music and images, as well as insights into the development of personae, scripting, and using multimedia for creating a kind of ‘theatrical mentalism’ that addresses life’s deeper questions. The content of the lecture draws on his two hour theatre shows An Evening of Metaphysical Magic and An Evening of Enchantment, his books on metaphysical magic and a number of his own effects.

This is not to be missed!

Does one have to be a member of the MC to attend? Or do they let normal people in too?

If you know someone in the magic circle - you can be a guest.

Well done Dr. Todd - it is indeed not to be missed.

It's a club and lectures are primarily for members who pay a fairly hefty annual subscription. The theatre can also get pretty full when there's a popular speaker like Todd, so visitor numbers have to be restricted.

aporia: If you can dig out the final episode of The Unpleasant World of Penn & Teller they smuggled Christopher Reeve in, you can learn the secret knock.
