To be fair, he may be referring to flourish tutorials, which I would assume are less frowned upon by the community.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

We will be doing the odd trick tutorial either a VERY basic 1 or putting it as unlisted and giving it to our best community people...

And mainly flourish tutorials yes...

To be honest people dont want to wait 20 seconds before each video. Thats longer than the ads that are forced at the beginning.

Take alook at professionally produced videos and you will see that this style is much shorter. Longer intros are more stimulating and offer some sort of info. Just having your title float around the screen is boring.

As was mentioned previously you also need to take into account the fact there are already ads shown prior to videos.

The ads shown are generally for partnership videos and once we get to a partner we wont have the intro just a basic text on the intro of the video..

a few comments....

1) if you're going to do something like this get a better quality video recorder
2) Ash Marlow DVD? it is categorically the WORST dvd I have ever seen, and I feel like suing him for the time I lost watching it (all 2 minutes until I couldn't watch anymore)
3) even showing the magnetic sponge ball is a bit of a give away.....

I really wanted to be gracious, you have taken a lot of cutting criticism on here, but here's a few things about the video:
1/ You know, I don't actually own a chop cup. I know exactly what it is, but I've never seen one up close in real life. For the first time ever, I just saw someone expose the secret - and for no discernable reason.
2/ I understand you're having issues with your quality camera, but surely there was a better alternative than this?
3/ I also understand you're waiting for the prizes to be delivered, but showing opened used packs of cards in the prize display is pretty poor, it looks like the prize is a load of unwanted 2nd hand gear.
4/ The "samurai weird asian blade thing" I'd call a scimitar.
5/ You say the competition closes on the 31st of December and the caption says 31st of February.... I'm guessing it's the 28th?
Sorry for all this, I hope you can take it constructively. I deleted a lot that really wouldn't have been constructive. Sorry.

We've been patient with this thread as it just might have led somewhere worthwhile but, as has been pointed out, there's a lot left to be desired. Specifically, the blatant exposure of one of magic's basic secrets is unforgivable. There are numerous threads clearly explaining why we are against exposure and we can’t allow TM to be associated with any other site or enterprise which is contrary to this. Thread locked and links edited out.
