Name for this Pass variation?

Postby DaveM » Jan 11th, '11, 23:52

Hi all,

I have stumbled across a variation of The Pass accidentally and wondered if it has a name.

You Pass as normal but you use the little finger to not only hold the break but to also drag the top card off the lower stack in order to make it the bottom card of the deck once the Pass is complete. It seems reliable and does the job.

I discovered this method when wanting to move a short card from the top to the bottom to reduce the chance of it being selected (or spotted, as a bonus) when spreading the deck for participants to choose cards.

Does this variation have a name or an inventor?
I like to know where all my method originates.

Why not call it a bottom slip pass.

Or does that belong in the Innuendo Bingo thread?

Mark Beecham came up with something very similar last year (when working through my Pass book). I'll have to ask him.

I have something similar that I put on my STEP SYSTEM but in mine the lower card is out jogged and used as a convincer for the selection still sticking out, when in fact its already on top.
