Hi all,

I've had an interest in magic since I was about 14 years old. Im now considerably older than that. To give you an idea, my first buys were from the Paul Daniels series back in the 80's. They were a colour coded series of tricks and effects. I still have most of them, from the linking rings to prediction boards.
Since then, I have read and dabbled but not to any great level; more of a hobby.
My interest has been re-kindled recently and I want to get more serious with magic as a hobby and a passtime.
I love close up sleight-of-hand magic and particularly card effects, although trying to anywhere near perfect these drive me to distraction.
I look on in awe at people such as Allan Ackerman who make it all look so easy.
Anyway, thats me. No doubt will be bugging you all for advice pretty soon.

I remember many of those Paul Daniels products, I think I've at least still got a paperback of his somewhere. It accompanied a box of props, of which there has been no sign for years. *grins*
