I have always been intrigued by mnemonists and human calcuators.

However, while many texts provide the nessacary methodology,
few of them offer insights on show structure or presentation.
I suppose there is Datas and Kahne in Ricky Jays Learned Pigs and Fireproof women.
Rather annoyenly, Luke Jermay mentions in 3510 that he believes memory acts to be a wonderful finishing trick if performed correctly,
but he doesnt offer any ideas on how to do this. :(

But apart from these I havent encountered alot.
Here is a human calcuator on the Ricky Jay show, and Mr Obrien doing his thang. And Derren Brown of course.

I hope you like them, and if anyone has discovered any more entertaining memory/human calcuator acts, I would love love it if you posted them! :)

While I'm sure DB is capable of things like the 'amazing memory demonstration' as we all are, or should be :p . That was most likely a trick of some form designed to look good for TV.

While Ive seen that first guy before, demonstrating similar things, that first card thing looked awfly fishy to me. I shant say more on the open forum but it looked more like a trick than a real demonstration.
The lady was the same in the 2nd clip - a bit too quick for my liking.
HOWEVER, the 2nd clip AFTER the demonstration is by far my favourite - Antonio De Avalon, what a wonderfull creation. That is the best, and clearest clip Ive seen in a long time, thanks for posting it :)
