Name a card, and this will be it!

Hey there everyone :)

I'm looking for a way I can sneak a card into a empty card box, in card boxes at the bottom (where bar code usually is) you can slip it in there, kinda looks like your doing a endase change. But not sure if this is best way or what.

Is it a signed card?

I suppose it depends on the context.

You could stick it to the outside bottom and then pull it out "apparently" from the inside

You could buckle the case while closed, get a little finger break at the bottom of the deck and slip it in

You could use a dupe

You could open the case to show empty and then leaving the case open slide a palmed card in

I think James Brown has a new effect out that deals with deck swapping and sliding cards into boxes in plain sight

Or, you could buy two boxes, build a really clever little flap on the outside, stick the boxes back together with magnets and invisible string but leaving the corner free for a peek.

My thoughts... 3 things

1) Po**et In**x
2) Mercury Fold
3) Load through a razor slit in case flap

In fact... thinking a little more about this. You could adopt a rattle-box principle to let the spectator know there's already "something" in the box.

Jay Sankey has a very cheeky effect akin to this. I think it's on 22 Blows To The Head.

Simon Scott

If the spectator doesn't engage in the effect,
then the only thing left is the method.

Marlo's Houdini and Bess has a method for achieving this. Its in a few publications but I'd buy the collected lecture notes as this is the most bang for your buck.

Is the card signed?
Are you taking the card out of the box at the revelation or is the spectator.

For card under glass I end with the signed card in the card box. To make it quick and dirty I pull the card out of the box. However it can also be switched up so the spectator takes the card out. But really the impact is the same either way.
