It was a splendid night - thanks to those that came.
Sadly Mr Voodini was snowed in up in Yorkshire, so I had to be the master of ceremonies for the night.

A huge thanks to Dale Shrimpton who is, without any doubt in my mind, a genius.

Taken after the session around the table, which was a moving experience in more ways than one.

An excellent night by all accounts, and I'm very sorry that the weather stopped me from attending. It's my own fault for living on t'moors. I will certainly be there for the next one!

It would be to hard to write a full list of the events that took place last night, at the manor hotel.

Freddie, entertained the asembled congregation with his collection of relics, and oddities. regresion, and a little pendulum work.

At this point, i asked to try something that i had heard of. using a pendulum, a wine glass, and two helpers, a spirit assisted in devining a secret number.

we then moved on to the table, where after the lights dimmed, the glass moved across the surface of a chess board. It was quite a lively glass session.

we took a short break. Then sat down and joined hands. the light was turned off, and in the dark we waited for things to happen......And boy did they happen!!!
bright lights flashed, Described by one sitter as being like a camera flash.. seen by all.. the table moved back and forth, sometimes slightly, other times, not so. smells filled the air. Flowers.. manure.. very strong to some, invisible to others. questions answered....and then, without warning, yours truly awoke from a trance. I am told that i had started to chanel the spirit of a man, who drowned. The thames being nearby. Although its possible that the death took place in the room wher ewe sat, because in the 1800s, Datchet fell victim to a terrible flood.
I cant give anymore details on this part of the seance, as i dont remember anything. However, Freddie revived me, by turning on the lights.
the table, had all but colapsed. My Glasses had been removed, and placed on the other side of the table, and most dramaticaly, a single white feather had materialized right in front of one of the sitters.
She became choked up, because she told us that her departed father always left her a white feather.

another break, then more glass work, which ended with a glass rap seance. In this a pendulum is suspended in a wine glass, and simple yes or no questions are answerd. Lord, this was the most spectacular and unexplainable events of the evening.
A spirit came through.. It didnt understand many questions, and we deduced that this may be the spirit of a child. It was asked if it wanted to talk through anybody at the table. Yes. It then identified which sitter it wanted to talk through...... That sitter was placed under via an induction, and we herd teh unmistakable sounds of a baby. A baby trying to suckle, it was crying, and gurgling, and as i write this, the feelings of utter despare are comming back... we helped the baby move on.. which we may of done, and bought the lights up.

the lights kept on flickering.. we talked about what had happened, and we shared a few photographs taken at the mirror. ( see above)

one, not the one posted here, clearly shows myself, and Holly, and directly behind me.... 2 faces.

I recognised one as my Grandad. I have a photo of him on my website, and we compared the likenesses, which is uncanny..

in an atempt to lighten the mood, and send people on their way home with a smile, Freddie performed Between the lines..And i performed the nes esp signs thing from Costas, reviewed else where.

Ive been to seances before, but this one, was without doubt the most unusual.

Eeeeh it were a rite grand do! I attended... but I can offer at least one rational explanation for one of the phenomena.... the smell of manure as reported by Dale... mite have bin something to do with me filling my pants after the physical manifestation during the dark seance.

There were no Cheese & Onion crisps at the bar at this seance but apart from that no complaints from me, in fact I would thoroughly recommend the experience :)

During Dale's trance, his voice changed completely and the spirit he channelled seemed to be one in a fair deal of discomfort. Afterwards poor Dale was completely drained. It was an incredible moment in the seance.

The child, which seemed to be a baby, was quite clear which of the group it wished to use as a conduit. It was a fascinating and disconcerting experience at the same time.

It was an incredible night and the spirit faces in the photographs was the icing on the cake. Looking forward to the next one!
