PK effects advice

Postby pablo diablo 73 » Feb 28th, '11, 15:47

Hi All
Was reading back through the reviews and had been thinking of getting a M****t to do some PK effects. Really impressed with comments about the Monster Bertha package.
However the links to NUMS are dead, is this now discontinued?, if so what do people recommend?
I dont want to spend a fortune as a beginner, but need something powerful enough to actually be useful - i.e move objects from under/on a table when strapped to my knee/wrist. and its obviously preferable if it came with any shimming material, or 'special' gimmicks like the bertha package did.
BTW i ordered a UYD pocket spirit lamp on ebay on impulse which I should receive any day, I understand I'll need a decent m@****t for that for the pentagram - so if anyone can recommend something that would cover both - even better!!.
ps I dont own a PK ring yet, but would I be right to assume its main use is to be almost touching the item in question (i.e coin in bottle) or does it have a reasonable field of coverage? - and how are the + & - poles directed?
Thanks in advance of your wisdom oh great TM'ers. :D

PK rings tend to be neodymium dust in resin and are not as strong as you'd expect.

Basically, the more neodymium you can get in one place, the stronger the effect, so the larger the magnet the more power it has. Try eMagnets. They stock lots of different shapes and sizes.

if he has any left, Costas at Magictao sell the Loki, which will operate the lamp. and it will aid you with other effects. Its something taht can be used openly, rather than having things strapped to you.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Argh! I completely forgot Loki. And to think, I stood next to the guy demonstrating the damned thing at Blackpool all day!

I talked to Costas this morning and I believe they're selling like hot cakes.

@ Barry - the Magnets look pretty cheap there - what would you recommend size/power wise thats comparable to the M5/Monster Bertha? For potentially well under a tenner its probably worth trying one of these as a beginner over the Loki as I've spent too much on magic recently (Damn CUPS!!!).

@ Tomo / Dale - I like the concept of the Loki, although whilst I can think of reasons to have it in plain view innocently, I cant think of many reasons why I'd have it in my hand when mysteriously making objects move as I would imagine the spec would be suspicious even if they hadn't considered the 'magical' properties of the lighter. Is it powerful enough to use strapped under sleeve/leg in the same manner as the Bertha should I not have a routine that would utilise the 'lighter' prop ?
Forgive my ignorance - I'm very much a beginner.

its about as strong as you can get. Yes you can wear it if you want, and you dont have to hold it.

look at the reviews i have written on here for more ideas.

Just saw this thread!
Just to let you know that if you buy a spirit lamp of any guise they always come with a PK Magnet strong enough to operate the lamp and move any of the PK items that may come with the kit
Pablo I have PM'ed you
