Derren Brown at Ipswich

Postby bananafish » May 23rd, '05, 17:13

For everyone travelling to Ipswich toinght to see Derren Brown, I have just heard that the A14 is closed at copdock and consequently Ipswich Town is gridlocked.

You would be well advised to leave as early as possible for the show.

Cheers for that Simon - I know you can get traffic news every 15 minutes on Suffolk's SGR FM 97.1 and on BBC Suffolk 103.9(?)

bu**er.

I'm leaving in about an hour.

I wish I could have gone :(

My parents didn't want to drive me far and unfortunately he didn't come within an hour of Cambridge. I only noticed the fact he was at the Cambridge Theatre (London?! lol) 2 days ago so no more time for seats.

Pity.

I have to say that Derren was on top form tonight and his 3 hour show definately lived up to all expectations. I'm sure he was posessed by The Dark Side of The Force during the second half though as it was very strange to say the least.

I'm not going to say any more than that as I don't want to spoil it for those of you who haven't seen the show yet but believe me YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED!! Miss this show at your peril!!

It was also nice to meet Derren again after the show!!

Does anyone know if there are still tickets left at the Cambridge Theatre? Although I doubt it :(.

I bought some for the last night at the Cambridge only a few days ago and when I was looking the websites all said that there were seats available at pretty much every show.

Which websites? All I could find for the Cambridge was a telephone number? Then again, I didn't look hard - which website were you using?

They came from seetickets.com, but I can't remember what site I bought them from, there were a couple that were doing them and they were at the same price so I just picked the one that loaded fastest and lokoed the best on the assumption that if the webdesign is slick then the rest will be good (perhaps not a good idea really but hey!).

Maybe when all the shows are over for this season we should open up a room in the "Trick Owners Club" portion of the forum, so that we can all discuss our perceptions of the show.

Entrance would only be for members who saw the show.

Without giving anything away about the show itself, I have to say that I never cease to be amazed at Derren Browns showmanship. He is truly a master of his art...

Sounds like a good idea to me, there was certainly enough to discuss after last years tour!
