Need help with a idea i got....

Postby Miniolo » Mar 1st, '11, 11:45

hello there:D i love the card to window routine SIGNED which uses a stooge... (same method as card to mouth) ... and i recently started getting the card further and further just for laughs....

for time lapse so that my stooge could get the card at the desired position i started deviding the deck in two... and asked them which side do you think its in... i repeated this 3 tot 5 times until there only 1 card left...

i only did this for time lapse... but people started freaking out like IF THATS MY CARD IM GONNA EAT MY HAT

so i had 3 alternate endings...

1. i say :O yeah im not that good and turn it around and they are dissapointed until i show them the card behind the glass..

2. i but it face down on the faceup deck and perform a CARDINI making the card vanish

3. i do a backpalm/tenkai throwing style to the position of the card behind glass

but!!:P no im hooked on the idea that if it would be there card or a card that wil tell them where the card is located...

so here is my question

I want to get as clean as possible no gimmicks ... no tables

just dividing the deck in two piles face down one hand each...

they choose a pack to eliminate that one gets placed in there hands... then the other one gets cut and the thing continues

ANYONE?

Have the selected or desired force card on the bottom. Ask them if they want the top or bottom packet. Depending on what their answer is, either do a HaLo cut or a regular cut, retaining their card on the bottom of whichever packet is called for. repeat until the packets are really small then use equivoque to force the card.

whahaha :P no ofcourse not that would be overkill ... but the method u use to get the card to mouth I use for loading it to my fellow magician/stooge

when he had the card i can do a CTA card to anywhere... like this ones

in beer glas (its fun when u ask the spectators to hold ure beer after the loa) some time distraction and they get crazy

in a bra (stooge)

in the spectators pocket (only do it when u know they dont punch u in the face because they think u stole there wallet)

behind a window

in a closed bottle

whatever u imagine....

ANYONE GOT GOOD IDEAs PLEASE SHARE

Here's an idea you might like to make it go behind the glass. I'm not sure if I reinvented the wheel here, but as far as I know this is an orginal transportation by myself.

Effect
Spectator picks & signs a card before placing that card into an empty card box.

The spectator holds onto the box securely, the magician emphasises that there is no way that he can so much as touch their card, and there is no way their card is stuck to the window behind them.

The Spectator looks around, seeing their card and their signature behind the glass as promised. opens their hand and the box revealing the box, despite the spectator them-self placing the card into the box, is empty.

--

Method

Look at the bottom side of your card box, the box will either be folded together or glued together, If folded, you'll be able to stick your finger through a thin gap into the box.

If glued, you'll want to modify the box or use a different design of cards. or just a different box.

First, allow your spectator to sign their card, then, switch their card for another one and place that card into the box, make the end of the card go into the gap where your finger is, not hard with practice and patter.

Seal the box up and ask the spectator to hold onto the box, or place it into their pocket, as your explaining this to them, secretly slide the card out through the bottom of the box and dispose of it in your back pocket.

Wait until your plant has placed the card behind the glass then show that the card has vanished from the box, ask them to tear the box apart if you so wish before giving their attention to the window.

I hope this was explained clearly enough, I was able to think of this and pull it off in the time it took my friend to come back from the toilet in a pub last night. Only difference being I used a duplicate due to having no plant.

Is this not the one from Royal Road? Where it is in 26th position or something? I'm sure that that would achieve the exact effect you are looking for.

Make the 26th card a blank and just write on it, behind the glass, so when you turn it over theres a double effect.

Philip is on the right track, and I believe the effect he is talking about might be the Harris/Ackerman effect, Overkill. An application of this particular trick might be perfect for you, Miniolo.

If you care to discuss the possibilities a bit more, perhaps a pm?
