You were one of the people who took part in that documentary about children's entertainers a couple of years back, as I recall. If I am right, you were extremely good. I loved your ship's rat vent doll - most would have gone for a parrot to accompany a pirate act.

Welcome aboard.

Yes, I'm a Brighton based pirate! I was in the "Clowns" documentary in 2008. It was fine, but didn't really show me in my best light. The clips from my shows weren't good!
I learned to vent mainly by just practising, but also studied the Maher Ventriloquism course. It's very good, a home-study course, but it covers everything you need to know. That said, the bottom line is: animate your puppets well, and don't move your lips!
I get most of my puppets from Axtell Expressions in the US. MagicBox in Newcastle carry a small range also.

Doug, I could tell they were picking and choosing stuff to show you in a bad light. In my view, you still looked like a great act, in spite of that highly selective choice of material.
