Would there be mileage in setting up two new categories in the forum for:
1. Books - this would prevent books from getting mixed up with trick reviews per se, and

2. DVDs (and videos, whatever they are!) - so that again they don't get lost amongst the trick reviews.

There will undoubtedly be reference from tricks to both categories, but this would clear the morass of information that currently exists.

Of course, you could split reviews into sub-categories such as, say:

Card, Coin, Close-up, Escapology, Children's, Mentalism, etc. This would give one a fighting chance with all the stuff that is available and therefore potentially reviewable. It would also enable one to pick a category of interest and stick with it with some consistency.

Just a thought (have them when the medicine wears off!),

Just a point of clarification.

I'm not advocating extra categories on the front board - only sub-divisions within the review section as a sort of second layer so that it would look like:

Cards

Children

Reviews - Close - up

Mentalism

And so on. The appearance of the main screen would remain untouched but there would be potential for people to drop their reviews into the correct pigeonhole and thus enable us to concentrate on the subject area of our choice rather than the morass before us.

I know that this is more work for systems/forum administrator but feel that there would be benfits to this.
