That's a claim religious people love. But there is a good reason why over 90% of Nobel prize winners in science are atheist. Not agnostic, lapsed, or anything else, but atheist. The more bizarre claims of religion (miracles, men rising from the dead, women conceiving without sex) are completely incompatible with science.
