Wanabe magicians

Postby Miniolo » Apr 1st, '11, 11:04

Hi there :) i mostly practice my magic at home but when im done and satisfied with the handling presentation etc i have to test it under harder conditions with more people tighter angles etc... this i do on the street i get allot of people that ask me to teach them tricks .. i once made a mistake by saying yes and got a student... i taught here the basics and she did it pretty good for a lefty hahaha!:P after a while she got irritated because the moves where getting to hard... and stopped...

Now i got some fans that became wanabe magicians that try magic thereself that they learned from youtube.. YES THOSE tricks!:P Now the problem is they practice/perform at the same city as me but do it BAD!:P i got 2 choices

OR I let them do their magic and hope they dont do it soo bad that its not magic but more a lesson in magic...by flashing and failing... etc

OR I try helping them to master their moves that the magic moves will stay secret to the spectator

I know the guys im talking about now are just in a fase.... and dont know what a magician really is... its not only look at me its to entertain them with the use of magic[/u]

Depends on how well you know them

Hey,

If you know them really well then train them as your apprentices. This will help you to improve as when they get good it will give you a good motive to go out and get better than them!

BUT

If you don't like them, leave them to BURN!

Hope that Helps ;)

Thanks to the internet alot of lay know about things like a double and riffle forces yet we still manage to get these past them. Magic is mostly in the presentation and if you have truly made the effects you do your own then there is no danger in them effecting your magic. The same tricks can be performed in several deferent ways. To us the handeling might be the same yet to the laymen the effects are all differant. I don't think they are any worry to you :D

yeah ehmm well i already got an apprentice that i do my magic with now and where a duo:D so this gives us allot of new magic tricks :) because somethings cant be done with just 1 magician...

and the problem is !:P they suck!:P and i know that if i would learn them stuff they will see how much work it is and eventually stop :S and will have all the secrets but arent magicians.... that sucks

kalen

yeah truee:) but every trick uses some basic moves:)

My advice whether you oike them or not is to give them a wide berth and spend the time focusing on making your own magic better.

To give someone a wide berth is to steer clear of someone.

I'm Dutch, as well, so not a good excuse there ;)
