I know there are other gamers around here, so thought I'd pass this on. For the next 10 days, you can grab some top-rated indie games and help worthy charities into the bargain.
The Frozenbyte Humble Bundle 2 is available for
Windows, Mac, and Linux, and includes:
- Three full games ready to download now (Trine, Shadowgrounds, and Shadowgrounds: Survivor)
- A fourth game (Splot) when it's released in 2-3 months
- For Windows only, the playable prototype of a cancelled project (Jack Claw), plus source code and editor
Sales also support two charities:
- Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a digital civil liberties group
- Child's Play, donating games and toys to children's hospitals
These four games would cost about $50 to buy separately in the normal way. The price for the bundle is
whatever you want to give. It's averaging just over $5 a throw, but I'd hope most people here would shell out more than that.
It's also entirely up to you how your contribution is used. The default share-out gives half to the game developers, with the rest divided equally among the two charities and the Humble Bundle overhead costs. But you can adjust these proportions to suit yourself.
