Hi! I'm Grant and I'm new here on the forums! Thought that I'd post to say hello and quickly introduce myself since it's always nice to "meet" a few nice people in a new place and for them to know a bit about you!
I've been interested in magic for years. I remember Paul Daniels on TV when I was younger and more recently the likes of David Blaine then Derren Brown have ignited my interest. I had magic sets and so on when I was younger but never paid too much attention to them then when David Blaine (cant use initials!!
) came onto the scene I was starting to grow up a bit so bought a few things to mess around with. Only in the past 2 years have I started to buy books and instructional videos but still I consider myself reasonably compitent in magic.
I currently take much inspiration from Derren Brown (going to see him tomorrow!) but don't aspire to "be him" and I still have respect for David Blaine for showing people that magic doesn't have to be made of cheese (though he's sort of sold out now through his silly, drawn out acts of self harm)!
Outside of magic I'm into airsoft, listening to music, trying to play guitar and I sing in a band.
