You'll be nervous doing your first table (I still get a bit nervous doing mine),
I think that most of us do but don't confuse nervousness with confidence. If you tell yourself that you can do it then you will do it! It's only natural to be nervous and this can give you an edge, a sort of reality check. Over confidence is not necessarily a good thing and can lead you to make mistakes through lack of concentration, even with tricks that you know and perform inside out under normal circumstances. Take your time, don't rush and you will be OK.
Don't be afraid to work an extra 15-20 minutes either if things are going well
This is such good advice if you can get away with it but it would appear that to start off, you are working to a planned timetable. You may have an opportunity after your second session. If people come up and ask for a trick because you didn't get to their table then personally, I'd go for it with an impromptu performance. If you're obliging then the PR will be fantastic for you, and for the restaurant owner as he will probably get to hear about it in a very positive manner. The experience that you gain will be invaluable so you should try to stay as long as you can, particulalry if you have nothing else on that night.
Please do let us know how you get on.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
