im going to get someone to make me a expanded coin shell, does that mean that it comes in 2 peices? because i want it to be like the scotch and soda trick if you know what im saying?trying to buy myself a Australian version of scotch and soda, trying to buy it off toddlassen. So is just called expanded shell or scotch and soda trick kinda confusing.

a scotch n soda / coin unique is diferent to an expanded shell as an expanded shell is designed to go over a regular coin and is genaeraly not that atractive.
scotches tend to be regular coin size unless you specialy order one expanded wich will invilve a lot more work on the soda part to eliminate the rim show found on regular exp coins when in use.

a third option would be to ask for a scotch n remilled set this would give you say 3 coins and a scotch set, the shell being multifuctional, I don't think I'm giving too much away as neerly every site I know explains shells and coin uniques in detail.

A good expanded shell looks great, at least on an American half. But no you will not get two pieces. You get one because an expanded half, as stated is expanded to fit over a regular coin of the same denomination.

Scotch and soda requires a regular locking shell and a sun/moon coin. And for that the shell comes 'fitted'

So, in conclusion scotch and soda, due to the nature of the effect does not use an expanded shell.

Note shells are hard to make, expanded shells even harder. Done incorrectly they do tend to look like garbage.

Johnson products, here in the states makes them really well. But he has an advantage, his company makes military airplane parts so he has the state of the art machinery in which to produce them.
