My (ungimicked normal) wallet is worn out, and so I'm looking to buy a decent leather wallet (bill fold style) to use as an everyday wallet, but which could also be used to add to my close up magic routines - I have a couple of wedding gigs coming up. Fire Wallet? Card to Wallet? (the Kaps one looks to be too big for everyday use) something else better which I don't know about wallet!?? Please could you recommend one - too much choice out there, and so I'd appreciate advice. I'm aware that fire wallets etc have been discussed before on here, but links are mostly broken, and advice is out of date...

If you are going to use a fire wallet as a regular wallet be prepared because you are always going to smell like lighter fluid.

Thanks BMat - your advice seems sound - I don't fancy smelling like lighter fluid. So Card to wallet it is. The 'Real Mans (card to) Wallet' looks really good despite the rather bad name, and has had a host of good reviews on here so I'll buy that one, and stick with using flash products for the extra fire in the routines...

Hi Tommy i got the fred kaps fire wallet and that wallet is a CARD to wallet and a FIRE WALLET in ONE so u get two for the price of 1... and i can assure you if u have the wallet in your pocket nobody should notice the smell... the smell is only noticable A: when you refuel and its still wet.. takes not more then 30 minutes or so MAX ... so when u go to a gig just refuel at home and drive to the gig when u come there it should be long gone... B: the smell will be noticable when u use it... but only for a short period of time 2 minuteS????


its a really nice wallet and if you dont want to use the fire? DONT fill it ... just use it as a card to wallet...

Oh btw you can open the wallet with 1 hand and will leave 1 hand to get items out of the fire.. (just combine soms flash paper with a little piece of flashpaper and go in to the fire and produce (this can be done with all kinds of objects)) Ehmm ohyeah one handed leave the wallet with the Dandy logo on top all fingers except pointingfinger and thumb go underneath wallet to hold Pointing finger goes into top slit (the secret compartment) then when u are on the ignition piece.. bring ure thumb there too and flip open with the tumb and in a simultaneous action ignite!

It is kind of like people who smoke, often they don't believe that they, and their clothes smell like smoke, but they do. But perhaps if left to dry you can reduce the smell.

i dont smoke and i have not heard anyone tell me its smells unless i used it..
