The Devil's Swan

Postby Pagali Zonda » May 7th, '11, 23:26

Hi guys

I recently watched an old video on YouTube entitled “The Devil's Swan” by a man called Ken Taylor. He said Derren Brown had requested the trick himself and it was very good indeed. In the video it says the effect would be released on DVD, but I cannot seem to find this DVD. Have any of you seen this effect and do you know where I can find the DVD?

Thanks in advance.

I feel that this could be done in several ways, find the origami model first, in origami books.

Yes that's the video I mean. I understand it could be done by switching and palming etc but looking at the recommended price he must have a more complex method. I would love to have it revealed as a signed card but how that would be possible is ar beyond my comprehension. Oh well, better find a good origami book and get practicing! Cheers, daleshrimpton.

Robert Harben was an Origami expert as well as a super magician, perhaps there might be a clue or two in one of his books?

the frog prince is probably a beter effect to use, if you intend to hae a chosen card folded like this.
If you look at the card at the start, you can see its badly creased, so couldnt be a card chosen.
there are several variations on the frog out there.
