Hello

Postby Pickman » May 7th, '11, 15:21

I've been performing magic (amateur) since I was 8 years old, it was mainly 'self working'/magic set type effects but just over 30 years ago I concentrated on learning sleight of hand methods.

I have listed on my profile 'skilled hobbyist' though I have no claim on being an expert I have learned quite a few things over the years, some of them useful!

I love Close up magic, especially cards and have always had a great interest in Mentalism/Mental magic. I think seeing Chan Canasta on TV as a child instilled this interest.

I perform mainly for family and friends and anyone else who will tolerate me.

I look forward to becoming involved in the forums here; although I'm knocking on a bit there are always new things to learn.

    Nice? Nice?

I can't get my head round it! It seems to go up, then down, then it apparently punches you in the brain and ends up going up again! Ive been sat trying to work it out for at least 15 mins! Please tell me its an illusion and I'm not going crazy again...

Welcome to talkmagic, by the way

Heh heh! It's definitely an illusion, it's based on an old one which was I think, originally a wooden triangle but it does do your head in a bit!

And thanks for the welcome :)

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
