Amazing Poker Deal

Postby Mr_Grue » May 11th, '11, 14:03

I don't play myself, far too cowardly, but I do find the game fascinating. Here's poker's answer to all those "By chance I got the card right" moments.

Jeez ... that's freakin' amazing

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Phew, what a deal! Fair play to the guy who folded kings though, there's no way he could have known another K would turn up. Brutal for the all-in pocket aces though. I find pocket aces are actually a difficult hand to play.

I watch a lot of late night poker and I think its a little more than coincidence that some really great hands come up a lot...

Wouldnt be surprised if some deals were stacked to add some drama and tension to the shows...

If producers rigged the decks, it would ruin TV poker. Way too much at stake for the organisers, the producers, the TV channel and the big name players to cheat publicly and be caught.

Also, poker matches can take a lot longer than they do on TV. That hour of show (45 minutes plus ads) may end up being 3 hours or more, with sufficient editing required to make it fit.
