I would say it's marginally unfair as my magic shelf is not within arm's reach when I'm home, and I'm currently at the Mother's house, in a room devoid of any reading material.

The books I brought with me:
Expert at the Card Table (S W Erdnase)
The Paper Engine (Aaron Fisher)

Other reading stuff near me:
The 4 Hour Work Week (Tim Ferriss)
Edge (June 2011 edition)
Manual for Halo Reach.

If I were to include DVDs then I have The Master Pushoff, Welcome to the Firm, a PK Ring one and Attack/Return of the Bag, but they don't count.

I'll post a better one when I'm actually at home...

I am amazed at how many of you are surrounded by magic books. I have enough, but my reading tends to veer off magic. Right now I can see:
Three Envelope Test by Alexander Marsh,
Hostage, Robert Cross,
Blood's A Rover, James Ellroy
Artful Mentalism, Bob Cassidy
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, Betty Edwards
More twisted, Jeffrey Deaver
How to Make A Fortune on the Internet
The Devil in the Red Dress
Cocaine Wars,
Present with Impact and Confidence
Easy magic tricks
Captain of Rome
Trainspotting
Foucault's Pendulum
Murder in Shandy Hall
The Little Friend, Donna Tartt
Candle Moth, RJ Ellory
Paranormality, Richard Wiseman
How to Fossilise your Hamster
Several issues of National Geographic
A dozen or more kids books from my son and daughter
Captain Francis Frazier - Last man standing
Silks, Dick Francis
Art - The Definitive Visual Guide
Runes with a View, Black Hart
Several boxing magazines.
That's without turning to the boxes behind me. Most of my books are boxed because I am between houses.

A favourite book on my shelf has to be Archbold Criminal Pleading Evidence and Practice: it is a large, serious-looking, red leather bound book that has been useful for pressing down on playing card gimmicks.

Guys, there aren't enough cheap thrillers on any of the lists. As a guy who hopes to make a living on formulaic rubbish, this concerns me.

There are two bookcases in my study so too many;

Royal Road to Card Magic
Tricks of the Mind
Confessions of a Conjurer
Psychology For Dummies
Quirkology
A thin blue booklet which I think is 202 Methods of Forcing (cannot be bothered to stand and check)
Modern Coin Magic
Psychological Subtleties
7 Deceptions
The Magicians Tables
On Deception
PRISM
13 Steps to Mentalism
Self Working Mentalism
Naked Mentalism
7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Predictably Irrational
Building Blocks
Hypnotherapy for Dummies
An edition of 'Majoke' magazine
Rich Dad, Poor Dad
Mindfreak

That's all I can see on the top shelf between various soft toys my wife appears to have placed there.

The next shelf is largely biographies, next shelf is largely financial books, then (just for Tony) ficition, then the bottom shelf are mostly medical books.

On the other bookcase the top shelf is all chick lit followed by a shelf of classics, DVD's below that for two shelves then cookery books.

To list them all individually would take too long.

Talking of formulaic rubbish, Tony will be pleased to find out that went buying cheap books on Saturday and I have acquired some books by Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte. I did get some good books aswell though, you'll be distressed to discover.

Is what Ace of Kev said even legal on this forum? Corinda in the bog, dear lord!
