From Digital Spy. Given his past content, this probably doesn't deserve to go in a regular category unless some details of actual magical content are confirmed:
David Blaine has announced plans for a new global magic event to take place in 2012.
The famed illusionist teased that fans could expect him to perform his latest 'trick' next May in a show which will also be broadcast on NBC.
Blaine also shared his desire to bring the magical concept to the masses with a tour around North America and Europe.
"This is as good as it gets," Blaine told TinyChat fans. "All magic, nothing else."
He added: "It's better than anything that's ever been done, by me at least... It's the most original concept I've ever come up with. It's taken me four years to sort out."
Blaine's previous stunts and special events have seen him frozen in a block of ice, drowned alive and suspended in a box above the Thames for 40 days.
His last event, 'The Dive Of Death', involved him hanging upside down above New York's Central Park for 60 hours in September 2008.
Blaine previously announced his intention to teach magic to his 5-month-old daughter with fiancée Alizee Guinochet.

This of course is the least well-known of all Blaine's recent "stunts". A small crowd gathered for Day 1 of this dreary experience, but after a rather bizarre nappy changing incident in which neither parent really seemed to know what they were doing, the crowds wandered off and didn't return.
Promised TV coverage failed to materialise.

Glad he cleared that up at the end there.

Magic without a pointless stunt... What a visionary.

If this does garner international interest, it can only be good for business and for magic. That is, assuming we embrace it and take an angle that benefits our own effects in some way.
