Two miracles in one night!

Postby nickmadsen » Jun 22nd, '11, 08:57

Hello everyone! I was out with my job last friday and I was extremely lucky, not once, but twice on that same night.

First I pulled out a deck of cards while we were eating, I cut the deck and asked my boss to name any card he'd like. He said the Queen of Diamonds. I always do this before any routine just to try my luck, and make a joke of it when I fail. Anyway He turned the top card over and there it was, The Queen of Diamonds! Everyone at the table just went completely silent. It was a fantastic moment.

And if that wasn't enough, I was meeting up wih a girl friend of mine later to celebrate her birthday, and she was with some people I didn't know. I decided to do an ACR with one of the girls, and did the same :"name any card...." and believe it or not, there it was, The King of Spades starring right in her face! She screamed and wouldn't allow me to show her anything else as she though it was way too scary!

This was probably two of my best reactions ever, but the again what are the odds for two miracles in one night?

All the best

Nick

Thats fantastic luck mate. I hope you milked it for all it was worth.

When I approach a middle aged woman I normally hold a single card up and ask her to name the card that she would most liken to herself. 8/10 times they say queen of hearts. Try it!

Alec

Ps. I made those odds up.

I may have been born yesterday but I stayed up all night.

Actually it was three times, but two out of three ain't bad, considering how many times in the past I've gone for the miracle :D

I often do Phil plus when table hopping. I always place the chosen card on the bottom of the pack when putting the pack away.

Sometimes, for a reason I cannot explain, I will get a hit where the card they choose at the next table is the one the bottom (the one that was chosen at the previous table.) Its not something obvious like QD for a lady's choice and it can be a different card on different nights.

This has happend a few times and I am wondering if there some reason.

Perhaps there is some subtle background musak that has influenced two people to have the same choice, or perhaps my spiel is subtly giving off a NLP signal that not even I am not aware of.

Are they reading my mind ? I thought it was supposed to be the other way around ?

Spooky.

If I ask someone to name a card and they say "Queen of Hearts" or "Ace of Spades" then usually someone else at the table will groan and roll their eyes at this rubbish choice. So I ask them if they can do any better and name something more unusual that I couldn't possibly predict. They almost always say "3 of Clubs" which just happens to be missing from the deck and in my top pocket... :D

Why not have queen of hearts on top of your deck and the queen of diamonds at the bottom as you approach each table.

"would you be surprised if....."

Could be a tidy little intro.
