Sujan location

Postby Caligari » Jun 12th, '11, 23:41

Howdy!

I've been thinking of doing a Sujan location as detailed in 13 Steps. I know where to get the necessary materials to make the cards myself, but was wondering if anybody knew of anywhere that does a ready made set of cards.

I've had a search on the interweb, but not found anything yet, though I suspect it'll be under some name that isn't immediately obvious.

Thanks.

The old Fillman priciple is a fantastic tool and appears in this set called "Feel-a-Colour"

Card 4 Magic (http://www.cards4magic.co.uk) offer good sets as well.

Cheers

Thanks Barefoot Boy, it's good to know they're still out there, though I'm afraid I balk at paying international shipping for something so cheap!

Dr Todd, cheers back at you too! I've had a look on Cards4Magic, but can't find them. Can you remember the name they go under?

They're easy enough to make and you will have a wider selection of colors than if you buy Feel-a-Color.

Well, I've been in touch with Cards4Magic and they do a set called Blank Telepathy Cards by Chazpro, but they're white, not coloured, and although I can see lots of possibilities for them I think colours will be better suited to the stage performance I have in mind. I may have to make them after all.

As ever, gentlefolk, thank you kindly for your help and advice.

World of Magic stock the Royal Magic Feel-a-Color. Very cheap, but currently out of stock: http://www.world-of-magic.co.uk/FeelACo ... i13208.asp

Cards 4 Magic used to do a coloured set of cards (I have some sat on the desk in front of me, as well as some white ones), and that might be what Dr Todd was thinking of.

However, the best set I have seen was one I got from Top Secret Magic (Telepathy in Colour), and it looks as though it's in stock: http://www.topsecretmagic.co.uk/new.htm ... hyinColour

You only get five cards, but they are the "right" colours to use, in my opinion.

Ah! That looks the ticket Part-Timer. Thanks! I may make that purchase soon. I'll still be doing a few sums to work out whether it would be cheaper doing them myself though I'm unsure whether a 250g bag of the necessary white powder would be welcomed by my partner in the kitchen cupboards even if it did work out cheaper ... hang on a minute ... I've just realised how, erm, how dodgy that sounded ... ahem.

Hello there. Just a quick update. I opted at first for a self-made solution and got some starch. Didn't work ... ... the stuff didn't dry invisibly. You could have seen it from outer space!

However on a brighter note, I took up Part-Timer's recommendation of the Telepathy in Colour set from Top Secret Magic and ... it works a treat! Thanks ever so much for the tip-off and to anybody else thinking of doing a Sujan location, I would wholeheartedly recommend this set.

Glad that set suited you, Caligari. Shame your homemade version didn't work, as I am sure we would all have been interested if it had!
